FFO Watching a band “get better” & better & better….

I’ve been fans/buddies with this band for a while, and it’s awesome to see them progress throughout the years. They’ve consistently put out new and excited records each year. I think I’d be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t like their music on some level. Alex’s drum parts have always been cool and different, and this release is no different. More drummers should follow his lead.

FFO Get Up Kids, Miracle of 86, Into It Over It

I stumbled upon this record through a series of random links. I think they are somewhat connected to the It’s a King Thing crowd in New Jersey. I fell in love with on first listen and have been listening to these 3 songs straight for the last month. Do yourself a favor and download this right away.

Glocca Morra full length

FFO Algernon Cadwallader

Glocca Morra impressed me from the second I heard this record earlier this year. The musicianship on this record is incredibly tight and interesting. This is another band that I overplayed in 2010, but it just left me wanting more. I’m not sure who’s recording this record, but I’m going to go ahead and assume that it will be awesome.

Counting Crows – Angels Of The Silences

FFO An awesome song that I listen to repeately

While in Detroit this past year, Marco ( of Salinas Records ) was giving away a good portion of his cd collection. I wasn’t too familiar with the Counting Crows, but he insisted that we take it, and make sure to listen to this song. This cd, although scratched to death, still sits in my car and I listen to this song on repeat at least twice on long drives home.
